Salary: $50,000 base plus % of business revenue ($90,000 – $100,000 target)

Large home service company in the area looking for a Manager to lead the Plumbing Department. We specialize in residential service and we are looking for a proven leader to take our team to the next level. The right candidate will have the determination to be the biggest and best plumbing company in the Triangle and beyond.

Reporting to the General Manager, the individual would be responsible for managing the Residential Plumbing Service operations of the Raleigh, NC area for the company.

Plumbing Services Manager Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop and lead Plumbing service staff by recruiting, assessing, hiring and training and managing the performance of all service/maintenance technicians and service dispatcher
  • Provide customers with price estimations for parts and labor; estimate project hours for specific services
  • Work with customer service and service/maintenance staff to provide technical support, resolve issues.
  • Represent the organization’s desired goals and policies to the service department
  • Provide continuing technical and sales training to service and maintenance technicians
  • Manage service call efficiency and profitability
  • Provide weekly reports to the General Manager on the status of the service department
  • Leads the service department to the successful fulfillment of its goals
  • Provides tracking and approval for all Service Department commissions
  • Arrange and manage service technician evening and weekend on-call rotation
  • Address and perform service repair needs as necessary
  • Review progress of service department work

Plumbing Services Manager Requirements

  • Residential Service and Service Management experience
  • Very strong people management skills to include assessing, selecting, developing, training and evaluating service technician and department talent
  • Sufficient business management and financial management knowledge and experience
  • Excellent customer service and relationship skills and professionalism
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
  • Able to manage multiple projects and to multi-task
  • Plumbing experience and background – Plumbing Certifications and/or Licenses are preferred
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • Background, Drug Testing and Driving Record check
  • Minimum of 3 years’ Service Management Experience managing 10 individuals
  • Flat-Rate pricing experience a plus
