Salary: 1099 Based Commission

Position Overview

As a Recruiter with Alliance Career Group, you will work remotely from your home office in or around Wilmington, NC sourcing for positions provided for you in the areas of manufacturing. Positions may include but are not limited to those in production, quality, engineering, logistics, business development and product management. You may as well at times be asked to source and market to clients not currently affiliated with Alliance Career Group beginning professional relationships building new business with our company.

Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience with recruiting preferably with manufacturing recruiting experience
  • Experience with full life cycle recruiting required
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems is not required but helpful
  • Knowledge of basic human resources
  • Ability to show success in a client or customer service role
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Must have your own functioning home office to include internet and telephone.
  • Experience with recruiting cleared IT or manufacturing candidates is a plus
  • Ability to produce expected results in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to decide on appropriate priorities and procedures to follow
  • Ability to provide consistent, high quality service across multiple business units
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels within an organization
  • Possession of excellent analytical skills to solve problems of a sensitive nature
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Compensation:

  • For recruiting projects that are given to you to complete, you will be paid a commission of 30% of our recruiting fee payable once our fee is collected.
  • Additional recruiting assistance with our Senior Staff presents alternative means of earnings
  • Performance evaluation is conducted after 90 days that could increase commission percentage

Position Overview

As the Business Development Manager for Alliance Career Group and Cape Fear Jobs, you will work remotely from your home office in or around Wilmington, NC. This person defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. They call on clients, often being required to make presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict their clients’ future needs.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients.
  • They must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company.
  • They must develop a rapport with new clients, and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship.
  • They are also required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients.
  • He/she may manage the activities of others responsible for developing business for the company.
  • Strategic planning is a key part of this job description, since it is the business manager’s responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business coming in to the company. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and of the company’s competitors.

While the exact responsibilities will vary from both companies, the main duties of the Business Development Manager can be summarized as follows:

New Business Development

  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
  • Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. * Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals.
  • Plan approaches and pitches. * Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Participate in pricing the solution/service.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. * Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
  • Present an image that mirrors that of the client.

Client Retention

  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
  • Work with staff to meet customer needs.
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

Business Development Planning

  • Attend industry functions, such as association events, networking events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
  • Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.

Management and Research

  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system.
  • Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team.
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
  • Work with marketing staff to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.
  • Ensure all team members represent the company in the best light.
  • Present business development training and mentoring to business developers and other internal staff.
  • Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company’s people and capabilities.
  • Understand the company’s goal and purpose so that will continual to enhance the company’s performance.

Our Client is a rapidly growing and leading manufacturer of fine sporting firearms with locations in NY, NJ and MT and has an immediate opening for an experienced Lean Six Sigma Assembly/Finishing Engineer based in their Yonkers, NY location. In this role the successful candidate will develop Assembly/Finishing Roadmaps aligned to the business plan in order to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost Objectives for Assembly and Finishing Operations using lean tools, techniques and methods.

Lean Six Sigma Assembly/Finishing Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze data top develop statistical problem and goal statements designed to deliver on S, Q, D, C objectives
  • Convene and lead / facilitate continuous improvement project management teams for Assembly and Finishing Operations motived to execute Kaizen and Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs) in collaboration with value stream leaders and employees to jointly deliver on S, Q, D, C objectives

Lean Six Sigma Assembly/Finishing Engineer Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will possess at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • 5 – 10 years of manufacturing experience in durable goods in roles that directly affected manufacturing results (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost). Particular experience required in assembly and product finishing (polishing, deburring, texturing, etc.)
  • Certified Black Belt through ASQ or equivalent certification
  • Basic factory master planning experience in participating and /or leading the development and execution of a small to medium size factory master plan focused on assembly operations

Master Plan Project Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, collect and analyze data to develop statistical problem and goal statements geared to deliver on annual Safety , Quality, Delivery, Cost (S, Q, D, C) objectives

  • Develop, identify and share best manufacturing / lean practices, methods and ideas with all pertinent value streams leaders, as well as coach and mentor peers and leadership in lean sigma methods
  • Provide Factory Master Plan (FMP) leadership, counsel and understanding of current and advanced lean techniques to drive business results as it relates to the overall operation
  • Develop FMP options in collaboration with factory leadership to improve current state capabilities and position the organization closure to the future state plan
  • Develop and lead annual business planning (Goal Deployment) activities with Sr. Leadership in order to chart the 1 to 3 year plan to drive S, Q, D, C and enhanced growth ambitions through new product introductions
  • Interpret customer needs and requirements, translate concepts into best practices, identify Assembly and Finishing process improvement opportunities, and quantify results and trends

Master Plan Project Engineer Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will possess at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • 5 – 10 years of manufacturing experience in durable goods industries in roles that directly affected manufacturing results (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost). Particular experience required in factory planning, rationalization, materials management / flow
  • Certified Black Belt through ASQ or equivalent certification
  • Advanced factory master planning (FMP) and goal deployment experience in which the candidate has lead medium to large FMP projects to rationalize factories and lead annual business planning activities

Master Plan Project Engineer Educational Requirements:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent field – Preferred:  Master’s degree
